Bringing EHS Leaders Together, to Make an Impact
Helen is a highly respected leader with decades of experience in regulatory compliance, strategically advocating for solutions that consider organizational needs while safeguarding the health and safety of employees. Her proven track record spans leading safety teams, programs, and corporate initiatives across diverse regulated industries.
She began her career in safety as a Flight Attendant for rock stars and the NHL, where she discovered her passion for regulatory compliance. After breaking new ground with innovative companies like Virgin America, Lyft, and Blackbird (acquired by SurfAir) she went on to lead the Phylmar Group’s Phylmar Regulatory Roundtable (PRR, OSH Forum) and BioPharma EHS Forum, driving collaboration and excellence in environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards. To expand her ability to support EHS professionals she formed HCC in 2020.
Grounded in real-world operations, Helen brings a practical perspective to regulatory challenges, often reminding regulators, “It may look great on paper, but it won’t work in operation.” Her expertise in the regulatory landscape, legal processes, and the operational impact on organizations of all sizes is complemented by strong connections with key OSH agency players and stakeholders.
Helen bridges the gap between operational realities and regulatory expectations, ensuring clear communication that leads to practical, effective regulations. Her historical insight and commitment to accountability and transparency in rulemaking benefits the entire regulated community.
